One of winter's greatest driving frustrations is icy windshields. You go through so much effort to clear snow and ice off your car when it has snowed overnight... only to find that more ice, and more snow get trapped under your wiper blades as you drive, leaving behind big streaks behind when you try to clean the windshield.

One brave SUV is putting its foot down and saying, "No more!"

The 2017 Ford Escape is arriving at Lithia Ford Lincoln of Boise this spring, and will be Ford's first SUV model to feature a windshield wiper de-icer as part of its Cold Weather Package.

The de-icer can melt snow and ice from the wipers in under 10 minutes, in temperatures as frigid as 18 degrees below zero.

Are your windshield wipers leaving behind streaks even when they're not frozen? It's probably time for new wiper blades. Visit our Parts Department for Ford auto parts in Boise.
