If you’re in the market for a great midsize sedan and can’t wait for next year’s models to hit the showroom floor, come into Lithia Ford Lincoln of Boise, located at 8853 West Fairview Ave. Boise, and speak with one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff to get you into the right vehicle right now. If 2017 doesn’t feel like too long of a wait, we’ve got some cool tech to show you below….
Your average road sees a lot of wear and tear throughout the year, sometimes leaving a crack or hole behind, which can, overtime, develop into a pothole. At best, a minor annoyance, and at worst, a true safety risk, potholes can seriously damage rims and suspensions. If you wish you could just opt-out of potholes altogether, the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport is delivering the next best thing: Skip em’.

Ford’s new Fusion Sport sedan will be equipped with a shock absorber system that will automatically stiffen when its sensors detect a wheel rolling into a pothole. This will enable the wheel to remain elevated as it goes over the pothole, rather than dropping down into it and jarring driver and passengers alike. When the front shock absorber is triggered for a pothole, this will also signal the back wheel’s shock absorber to respond in kind, giving you and your family a much smoother ride and avoiding potentially costly repairs to your wheels and suspension systems.
You might find similar technology available in some luxury brands, including Lincoln MKZ, but the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport will be the first midsize car in this price range to offer such advanced technology. Paving the way of the future? Could be.
