Ford’s system is the first of its kind to contact emergency services directly; before this system, calls for help were routed through a call center before being transferred to the proper emergency response team. With SYNC 911 Assist, your vehicle contacts authorities directly, saving you precious time when it matters most. Even when you’ve turned off your Bluetooth and selected Do Not Disturb, SYNC will override these settings to place the emergency call. If your phone is off or unable to make a call, the system will pair with any available phone to make the emergency call and can send your GPS information, too.
