Ford Mustang offers a base four-cylinder engine that offers great acceleration. However, if you are looking for speed, the base engine might wane at high speeds. The V8 engine options solve the speed problem as they are more muscular and accelerate the car fast. Both these options deliver a smooth ride.
The standard four-cylinder engine is highly fuel efficient with the Mustang EcoBoost offering 21/32 mpg for city/highway fuel efficiency. The gutsy V8 in the Mustang GT and other higher models is less efficient and delivers 16/25 mpg for city/highway fuel efficiency. Mustang Shelby, GT350, and GT500 are less fuel efficient and they deliver power instead.
